Rate-card negotiation tips
- 1Always send the Standard column first. Anchor high — brands will negotiate down anyway.
- 2Charge extra for usage rights: paid ads on top of your organic post = +50–100%, exclusivity in your category = +30–50%.
- 3Bundle 2–3 deliverables in a single quote. The 15% combo premium is what agencies expect to see.
- 4Never work for product-only if you're above Nano. Product = engagement boost, not payment.
- 5Ask for 50% upfront and 50% on posting. If they refuse, walk.
- 6Faceless / niche accounts price on effective CPM, not follower count. Show your last 3 videos' analytics to justify the number.
How to actually price a sponsored post in 2026
Follower count alone hasn't priced sponsorship for years — brands quote against effective CPM (dollars per 1,000 real views), niche vertical, engagement tier and usage rights. This calculator combines all of them: it takes your follower count, multiplies by an industry-baseline CPM for each deliverable on that platform, then adjusts up or down for niche (finance and B2B are worth 1.5–1.7× lifestyle, gaming is 0.9×), region (US is baseline, EU is 0.85×, LATAM 0.45×), and engagement (an 8%+ elite engagement rate is worth 1.6× a 1–2% average one). Nano-influencers get a 3.5× per-follower boost because the fixed cost of running any campaign — briefing, shipping product, contracting — is the same whether you have 5k or 500k followers. Bundling 2–3 deliverables adds a 15% combo premium (the number agencies expect to see). Never quote below the Floor column. Always send the Standard column as your opening ask.
Sponsorship rate calculator FAQ
How much should I charge for a sponsored Instagram post?+
Industry standard is roughly $10 per 1,000 followers for a feed post at 1.5–3% engagement, scaled by niche (finance/B2B ×1.6, gaming ×0.9) and region (US = 1.0, EU = 0.85). A 100k US finance account should charge $1,500–$2,500 for a single feed post, $2,700–$4,500 for a Reel, and $4,000–$7,000 for a full bundle (post + story + Reel).
What's the standard rate for a TikTok sponsored video?+
TikTok pays higher per follower than Instagram feed because reach is decoupled from follower count. Baseline is ~$20 per 1,000 followers for a single video. A 100k account in a mid-tier niche should quote $2,000–$3,500 per video, or $5,500–$9,000 for a 3-video series.
How much do YouTube integrations cost?+
For a 60–90 second integration inside a long-form video: $20–$30 per 1,000 subscribers, or roughly $25–$40 per 1,000 views the video is expected to get in its first 30 days — whichever is higher. A dedicated video runs 2.5–3× the integration rate.
Should nano-influencers charge anything?+
Yes. Nano (< 10k) creators command 3.5× the per-follower rate because brands pay a minimum project fee regardless of audience size — briefing, contracting, shipping product all cost the brand the same whether you have 5k or 50k followers. A 5k US beauty nano should charge $150–$250 per Reel.
What does 'usage rights' or 'whitelisting' mean and why does it cost extra?+
Usage rights let the brand run your organic post as a paid ad from their account (or yours, called whitelisting). It multiplies the value of your content by orders of magnitude — one post can drive 100× the impressions of your organic reach — so you charge 50–100% more. 30-day category exclusivity (you won't post for a competitor) adds another 30–50%.
How is this rate card different from what agencies pay?+
This is your public-list rate card — send it first, always. Agencies routinely negotiate 20–40% off, so you need headroom. If a brand comes to you direct and skips the agency, you can hold closer to the Standard or Premium column.
Do I count followers or subscribers or listeners?+
The primary audience number on that platform: Instagram/TikTok/X/LinkedIn = followers, YouTube = subscribers, Podcast = average episode listeners in the last 30 days. Don't count total downloads or cumulative reach — brands see through that.
Is this calculator accurate for Europe / LATAM / Asia?+
Yes — the region multiplier reflects real 2024–2025 brand-spend data. EU rates run 15% below US, UK 10% below US, LATAM ~55% below US, Asia (ex-Japan) ~40% below US. Local currency conversion is at the bottom of the calculator.
